Uni in New Zealand, i am aussie?

Hi guys, i am rom Australia and i am planning on going to uni in New Zealand. What are the recommoneded unis, i am looking in to auckland, but i want to be close to the mountain and sea so i can continue my love for kayaking and bush walking! i am also thinking i will study journalism

While there aren’t any unis close to mountains in Auckland, both AUT and the University of Auckland are located in central Auckland, with beaches like Mission Bay nearby and Auckland is pretty small anyway, so bush walking in the weekend at somewhere like the Waitakere Ranges should be easy enough to do, when you’re not studying
I have a friend who studies journalism in AUT at the moment! She said that Auckland University (where I study) doesn’t have a specific journalism course and so decided to go there. While to be honest in my opinion (and I am biased here!) AUT isn’t as well recognised academically, if you are passionate about journalism, go for it! Better to come out happy with your degree than suffer years of discontent…

And as for Aussies getting into uni here, I think it shouldnt be a problem. A few friends have moved to Aus with little struggle and settled in fine at uni, so I would say it should be sweet the other way round too
