North Central Washington is truly a special place with a number of each type of places to visit. From the Cascade Mountains in the west to the desert as landscape in the east, the great variety of terrain and landscape assistance to the region offer something for everyone. Here's a look at just three of the many places worth visiting in the beautiful North Central Washington.
Grand Coulee Dam
One of the many man-made wonders of the world is simply amazing to see Grand Coulee Dam. This magnificent dam was originally built in the 1930s and is one of the largest hydroelectric dams in the world. There are a number of views that can be dam a variety of places around it. There is also a well-equipped visitor center that tells us about his story, too. One of the main attractions of the dam is a show nightly laser light that takes place during the warmer months of the year. Tours of the dam are also popular with many travelers who visit there on an annual basis.
Wenatchee
The city of Wenatchee sits right on the Columbia River at the point where the river flows into it Wenatchee. The metropolitan area Wenatchee is known as the Apple Capital of the World. There is a strong agricultural presence there, but there is also much more. With the Columbia River flowing through, there is little opportunities for water recreation. There are also opportunities for hiking in the area. Communities in the area also offer many things to do include East Wenatchee, Leavenworth, and Chelan.
Lake Wenatchee State Park
The North Central Washington area is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the United States. Lake Wenatchee State Park is located right in the middle of it. He also sits on the shore of Lake Wenatchee and the Wenatchee River headwaters. For those who like hiking, swimming, boating, water skiing, fishing, kayaking, hiking, rafting would love the time spent in the Lake Wenatchee State Park.
