When you start planning your holiday in New Zealand which throws some hard questions. I have been asked many times that I like, the North Island or the Isle South. That is a difficult question, since they live in a place different than seeing it as a tourist. Scenically very different and both are lovely.

However, if you have limited time for your New Zealand holiday would definitely recommend the South Island as their choice. To do justice to the South Island, you need 4-5 weeks. This allows you time to enjoy the many activities. You could spend much more time, if you intend to do some of the long walks, as the Milford Track, Heaphy Track, or go to some of the more remote areas. But generally, options must be made.

New Zealand, particularly the South Island, is a photographer’s dream. So allow time for plenty of photo stops. Have a wonderful New Zealand holiday!

I am a New Zealander who has travelled extensively internationally and lived in several countries. Despite all the places I have been, I still think New Zealand is one of the most beautiful countries, and for a holiday, it is not only scenically truly spectacular, but also has a huge variety of exciting activities. Having had so much experience planning international travel, I appreciate the difficulties in getting all the relevant information for visas, itineraries, flights and accommodation. Keen to share my comprehensive knowledge of my beautiful country with others, and make their holidays and vacations an enjoyable experience, I have built a website http://www.holidays-in-newzealand.com to ensure a one stop shop for independent travellers to New Zealand.
