Best place to kayak with the whales in Seattle?

We are going to Seattle in July and staying downtown. I would like to know the best place to go kayak and see whales. Also if I’ll need a car.

You won’t NEED a car but you will want one. You cant just hail cabs here, you call them for a ride. as far as whale watching goes here is an excellent place :

downtown is pretty big and hilly so to getto all the cool stuff, a car makes sense. Your hotel’s doorman should be able to help you figure out the bus system if you want to do that. Its a very good system. You will want to take the underground tour, pikes place market, smith tower, space needle, seattle center fun forest, DUCKS tour and EMP (Experience Music Project)
