Where is a good place to kayak fish from around the Sarasota / Bradenton area?

New to the area and wanted to know where is a good place to kayak fish from around the Sarasota / Bradenton area? What could catch and what bait to use? I'm looking to keep my catch for anyone with tips on good fish in the area would be great. Thank you.

I'm a ways south of you, but I know Sarasota Bay and the Manatee River are not very away from you. Near the mouth of the river and the bay, you will get the trout, snapper, sea bass, sea bream (winter), whiting, Pompano and so on. Buy Book of Vic Dunaway, Florida sport fishing, which will help with identification and give a good amount of fishing tips, if you have time, check a look at peace and Myako rivers, south of you, flowing into Charlotte harbor.Maybe best for canoeing in the state. Beautiful sights and fishing too. I hope you listen to someone your way to better help. For bait, live shrimp. Everything you eat 'em.
