Kayaking, Hudson River. :]?

I’m going to go kayaking with some friends on the Hudson River next week. & this is my first time. How likely is it that you’ll fall out of your boat? lol, & i know i sound all paranoid and everything. what you wore, & tips and advice would be much appreciated as well.
Oh & if you ever went kayaking on the Hudson, how was it? Haha.

I get pretty paranoid on the idea too. A kayak or a canoe, I don’t trust either as far as I can throw ‘em.
