Are Minnesotans happy it’ll be 85 Degrees out Thursday?

For a state known for snowy winters and frozen lakes and a longing for long sunlight summer days on canoes and kayaks,

I have a family member who works in Minneapolis. I’m sure he will enjoy the warmer weather.

It sure makes the memories of the bitter winter cold kind of blur away. I remember he called me one evening in February as he was leaving work and getting his car. His teeth were chattering so hard, I could hardly understand what he was saying!

Now, I just hope we all don’t have short memories when it comes to the global warming kooks who say that our planet is warming when the ice caps are actually expanding.

We need a break from the cold grip of winter, but we don’t need a break from realizing that just like the seasons are cyclical, so too is the climate as it changes throughout the decades and centuries. Humans have nothing to do with changes like this… no more than we can cause the change from being -20 degrees to 85 degrees!
