Is there an inexpensive place (but still nice) to stay in Mendocino?

I was originally thinking of buying my boyfriend a kayak, but am now thinking of spending a couple of days in Mendocino and doing a kayaking trip instead. It would be great to find a place for under $100/night betweeen 12/28 and 01/02.

If you are talking about the TOWN of Mendocino, NO, that town caters to the affluent. 10 miles north is the town of Fort Bragg with inexpensive motels and hotels
