does anyone know about the Chicago Portage Canoe Trail? I need a map and info also. It’s near Lemont, Illinois

it is about a 7 mile (river possibly) to canoe on. at one end it is in Lemont, Illinois and not sure what town it goes to. I need to know how to go about being able to kayak on this; where it starts, a site to go to, phone number to contact to get whatever info needed so I can enjoy this bit of nature.

never heard of it and i live 2 miles from lemont. there is the canal river which is polluted by all the mining companies. take route 83 south of 55 and you’ll run into it. it might actually be the des plaines river. here is the link which also has a good map of it.
