Best places to kayak in Thailand (or Bali)?

Hi! Me and my partner want to go to Thailand (or Bali) and would like to hire a kayak for a week and explore the islands (camping style). What is the best region in Thailand (or bali ) to do it, and also if anyone knows a good and cheap place that hire kayaks, that would be great.
