Kayaking First Time

The best and the funniest part is fast kayak. Pro make it look easy, but we're new, faster kayak is a daunting and scary idea. If you have a browser before you may have some experience of what fast is all. Trust me when you're in the water level in a kayak through the rapids look twice as big and you can feel every swirl and turbulence in the water too. Panic is the worst enemy of a rookie!
For me personally, I panic when I feel lost and alone in a quick and derived from the lack of faith in myself that I can get through it without having my guides me through security. Now I have a fair bit of experience in the rapids, I still have moments of anguish and anger at myself for not having in and out of the kayak when I know that if I stayed calm could have come myself. Besides, every time you go to learn something and makes you more determined to correct next time, and less inclined to panic.
The first thing to go very quickly, in my clinic in the first place, our guide gave us very little education, only lead us into this big wave and the three of us turned. They knew it would be a stretch, in fact, its intention was that it did and deliberately led us into the wrong line. Why Why? Flipping and going under water and be afraid you can not leave the kayak is a base fear that makes us nervous. When you are nervous your body gets strong and has no rhythm and natural balance. To be able to paddle in rapids big it needs to be calm, relaxed and trust your natural balance. Jumping to all learned how easy that was to blow our cover spray and exit the kayak. How easy it was for them to rescue us and bring us back to the boat. It was perhaps an important lesson. Fearing of being caught under our boat behind us that allowed us all to relax and learn better and enjoy ourselves more. It is the first step in building of a trust between you …….. and safety and I'm sure you get a good laugh out of it too.
It's a bit of a miss conception that you need to have good upper body strength helps, but what is more important is the balance and flexibility of the hips. The other thing to successfully row Fast is to master the fear of going against what your brain is telling you. For example, if your swarmed in (enter quickly downstream, upstream from the current), their natural instinct is self-balancing power lying outside the mainstream. What this does is the kayak is tilted in the current, the current pushes the pressure water in the kayak, which can result in your stock. What you have to do is ignore the first letter of their "survival" instinct and inclination down and talk!
Again quickly, his natural instinct would be to lean back in his kayak. By doing this, do not go with the shovel and the imbalance of the boat. You have to trust his balance and lean forward. Paddle powerfully with a paddle almost vertical and the use of press-along with water to row with the "power" through the rapid current. If you stay calm and shovel, to feel the kayak in the water and just use your hips to go forwards, never will flip.
When kayaking Big Rapids, I have mixed emotions. Still new to the kayak still have not fully mastered my fears and I go from the euphoria of rowing and water survivors powerful, the moments of confusion and panic. In the panic every time I'm short, I flip!
These few tips are only a guideline I hope it helps you feel more comfortable about the kayaking. Once one has mastered rescue equipment and row then it is time to move to a bigger and more technical rivers.
If you want to learn to kayak in Nepal, the best rivers for doing so are Trushili River, Seti River for beginners and intermediate Kaligandaki. Although you can kayak from September all the way to May, there are some places to kayak on the monsoon. Remember that it is very cold from November to March.
