How do I get a big island Hawaii Kealakekua Bay?

I know it's a walk you can take is to far to walk and after snorkeling and walk backwards? I think I will want to spend much time there and did not wan t to have to pay each time each day to rent a kayak or take a snorkel cruise. Help me the boys is a free way to dive there?
