I'm taking a trip to PR 5 year anniversary. Is it better to stay in San Juan and Fajardo?

If we stay in San Juan, will be at the Marriott Resort SJ & Stellaris Casino and Farjardo in the Conqueror. We will want to see things, golf, beach, kayak the bay luminescent and relax. Any suggestions, thoughts comments on anything is much appreciated.
