Kayaking Attire
Where will reader be within the next hour?
Writer is about to push his kayak 30 minutes to the beach. On arrival I chain the cart to a tree. I change into black sea boots, don maroon floatation gear, and drop the hull in 3 inches of water. Once seated I’ll paddle south cross-bay another 30 minutes to a boatyard where I’ve rented hull storage space. My 2010 public transportation e-card plastic will let me ride the bus home. Yup, people do stare at all-red attire, yellow tote bag, and kayaker paddle but life is good over next hour or so.
p.s.—the worst part is walking back to the tree & push kayak cart home after my bus drops me off about 10 minutes from the beach.
Hopefully I will be seeing my niece and nephew off to home with my sister, then loading my two children into the family van and be headed to the grocery store to stock the shelves of our pantry for the next 2 weeks. Although this is something I have been looking forward to for the past couple days, I must admit, your next hour sounds more exciting.
