Carolina Pygmy Rattlesnakes in Colleton Co., South Carolina?

I am a herpetologist from Kentucky and I am taking a trip to Colleton Co., South Carolina this weekend. Just wondering if anyone knows of a population of Carolina Pygmy Rattlesnakes or Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnakes near there. We are kayaking on the Edisto River and I am very interested in photographing them in the wild. Thanks to any information anyone can give.

I would stray away from the Edisto to find those two species of rattlers. the pygmies are much harder to find than the EDRs. you’ll usually find the pygmies in dense forest and the EDS out in the open.
