My Drywall Screw left a gaping hole in my ceiling, can I make the screw company responsible?

A couple of months ago a purchased some dry wall screws that were specifically designed to hold 1000 pounds pulling directly downward. I purchased two of these screws so used in conjunction, they should hold a total of about 2000 pounds. I installed the screws correctly and hung my 300 pounds kayak (pulling directly down on the screws). Well the other day my kayak fell to the floor an top of the couch, almost killing me lol, and now there is a massive hole in my ceiling and now im not going to be able to get my deposit back.

Does anyone know If I can make the screw company responsible for reimbursing my apt deposit, or I am just screwd?…..no pun intended :)

Drywall screws are for hanging drywall, not kayaks.
