Best hotel or condos on Oahu to be able to walk to the beach for snorkeling?

I’m planning a trip to Oahu in September and I know Hanauma Bay is the best for snorkeling, but no hotels nearby, right? I want to wake up every morning and walk right down to the beach for some great snorkeling. I can drive for the rest of the day to do all the other stuff on the island. Where should I stay?
Also, I love Hawaiian culture, food and nature, but not interested in the Waikiki city stuff. There’s so much to do, I can’t decide! Planning to go to the Polynesian Cultural Center, Waimea Valley, shave ice at Matsumotos, snorkeling every day, the swap meet, and kayaking. What else should I be sure to do? Thanks!
P.S. One more: swimming with dolphins–where do they have that, and is it awesome, or do you feel bad for the dolphins?

There about 8 hotels & condo’s on Kaimana beach that are all great & you can snor kel on thet beach from the zoo, up to Daimond Head Beach, that is a 10 mile shoreline. The only name I know is Colony surf,(upscale) but there are 8 others, right on the beach, going South. The Waikiki Aquarium in on the beach, then the WWI Natatorium Memorial Swimming Pool (closed for renovations, but I would stay in 1 of those condos. Download a map & call some travel agents, tell them what you want & if they can’t help you, they will point you in the right direction. Those condos are at the South end of Waikiki past the zoo, across from Kapiolani Park & past the Big Waterfountain, at the beginning of Daimond Head Road. North East shore by :Crouching Lion” has accomodations, on the beach w/ great diving & snorkeling, Google Crouching Liopn. Also Kaneohe Bay has Cabins on the bay w/ tons of sealife in the bay.Look up Kaneohe Bay (Accomodations) Aloha! see you in Hawaii.
