What is the best way to get cheap airfare to Europe?

I want to fly from USA (Myrtle Beach or DC) to Salzburg Austria in July 2007. Everything I’ve found for flights is like $1200 – $1500 per person. I’ve tried travel sites like sidestep, kayak, and ITA Software. I’ve tried flying into different locations (e.g., Frankfurt is like $1050). What can I do??

Bestfares.com usually is always the lowest. I have used it every year since 2000 and have never been disappointed. I attached a link to their Europe free stayover listing. You should be able to go from DC to Vienna for about $600 during the summer season. Anyway, I wish ypou luck, and have a good trip
