What Kayak would be suitable for multi-day trips?

I am looking for a kayak that would be good to get to the weekend, possibly three or four days at most. I need something that can carry gear well, keep things dry (duh) and be able to handle large streams. (Not to be used for anything over banks or perhaps a quick class 1) I have a kayak in mind, a tsunami of 120 or 125 but not sure. Any advice would be great!

Your primary consideration will be the ability of the kayak. Declared capacity of the tsunami of 125 is 300 pounds. So it depends on how much you weigh and how to pack. For example, for me, not be enough, and weigh 210 and often carry 100 pounds. art (yes, no pack lightly – fresh food, wine bottles, full size Thermarest, perhaps even a bit of wood or charcoal). If you are a backpacker, then you probably already know very well how much weight you carry. Kayaks drive a little different when are overwhelmed. They are usually a bit more stable but a bit slower. If possible, try a fully loaded kayak before you buy. If they can not take into account that if the boat feels a bit slow or sitting kind of low in the water and probably will not be happy with him when he has a lot of gear in it. I would also like It is recommended for the arts, in any case, many small bags are easier to put on a ship a few large companies. If you have any idea of travel open water longer, see my response in sea kayak expedition: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20081019045941AAUO6Fw
